Vinh Long enterprise transfers money to buy flowers to 188 million VND to help the poor

On February 24, Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee organized a business gathering at the beginning of Binh Ngo Spring 2026 in a joyful and warm atmosphere. This year's program made a mark when it did not receive congratulatory flowers from businesses.

Instead, provincial leaders mobilized businesses and entrepreneurs to use the funds to buy flowers to support the provincial "For the Poor" Fund. At the meeting, the announced contribution amount was 188 million VND.

The meeting program took place with many important contents such as welcoming delegates, announcing funds to support the fund, welcoming arts performances, announcing reasons, introducing delegates and congratulatory speeches by the Provincial Party Secretary.

Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the spring gathering is an annual activity that shows the spirit of receptiveness and companionship of provincial leaders towards the business community.

According to provincial leaders, in 2025, despite many difficulties, Vinh Long's socio-economy still achieved positive results. Businesses continue to develop both in quantity and quality, making important contributions to growth and job creation.

Stepping into 2026, the province determines to take businesses as the center, which is an important driving force for growth. Vinh Long continues to reform administrative procedures, improve the investment environment, and improve the quality of service for people and businesses.

At the program, representatives of the business community exchanged and reflected difficulties and obstacles in the process of investment, production, and business; and at the same time proposed many specific solutions that are close to local reality.

Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed the view that businesses' petitions should not just stop at recording, but must be clearly assigned to be processed, with a deadline, and specific results.

The program also launched the Steering Committee for Private Sector Economic Development of Vinh Long province; introduced business associations and unions in the area and commended businesses and entrepreneurs who achieved outstanding achievements.

The act of not receiving congratulatory flowers and switching to supporting the "For the Poor" Fund is considered a practical action, spreading the spirit of social responsibility of the business community, contributing to caring for poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the province.
