14th National Party Congress: Lam Dong has 9 ethnic minority delegates attending

On January 19, the Lam Dong Provincial Delegation attended the 14th National Congress of the Party, consisting of 46 official delegates. Of which, 9 delegates were ethnic minorities.

Lam Dong province currently has 49 ethnic groups living together, ethnic minorities account for nearly 18% of the population. The province always considers building a team of ethnic minority cadres as a long-term task, of strategic significance in strengthening the great national unity bloc.

Therefore, the delegates who are ethnic minorities trusted and elected to attend the 14th National Party Congress are not only representatives, but also send the beliefs, aspirations and voices of ethnic minorities in Lam Dong to the Party.

Member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Dam Rong 2 Commune Party Committee - Mr. N'Du Ha Bien - said that he was very proud to be a delegate attending the 14th National Party Congress.

As a cadre working at the grassroots level, directly involved in ethnic minorities, Mr. Ha Bien clearly sees the positive changes from the Party's policies and guidelines in recent times. The appearance of the countryside in ethnic minority areas has become more spacious, the people's lives have been gradually improved, and their trust in the leadership of the Party has been increasingly strengthened.

Mr. N'Du Ha Bien shared: "I hope that this Congress will continue to pay attention to specific policies for ethnic minority facilities, support production associated with the actual conditions of the people and train young cadres who are ethnic minorities to create a source of long-term success".

Ms. Ha Thi Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province expressed her hope that the Party will continue to pay attention to perfecting the mechanism so that the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations can participate more effectively in social supervision and criticism.

I hope the 14th National Party Congress will issue policies to promote the role of prestigious people among ethnic minorities. Thereby, contributing to creating consensus and strengthening people's trust in the Party," said Ms. Hanh.
