Da Nang eliminates 12,298 temporary and dilapidated houses in the area

News from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on January 5 said: implementing the Central Government's policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city promotes its core role in propaganda and social mobilization work to accompany and care for people's lives.

During the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City proactively and actively mobilized support for the City's Fund for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses to reach more than VND 145.651 billion, supporting the construction and repair of 3,564 houses, contributing to the basic completion of the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the city (with 12,298 houses).

The city also commended 51 collectives and 29 individuals who have made positive contributions, contributing to the completion of the 2023 - 2025 target.

Continuing to diversify forms of mobilization, the "For the Poor" Fund in 2025 mobilized 27.514 billion VND. From this fund, the city has supported the construction and repair of 234 houses, taking care of social security work with a budget of 8.677 billion VND for poor households, policy families and disadvantaged people.

In particular, promoting the spirit of "mutual love", in order to promptly support people affected by natural disasters in the Northern and Central provinces and people of Da Nang city, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city organized a campaign to receive nearly 200 billion and 330 tons of goods (worth 9.233 billion VND) to support people affected by storms and floods in the localities.

Specifically: support the Northern provinces (41 billion); support the Central provinces (1,578 million VND); allocate 139.729 billion VND and 330 tons of goods worth 9.233 billion VND to 69/933 communes and wards to support the city's people affected by natural disasters.

Launching the "month of Action for the People in Disaster Areas", from November 7 to November 30, 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City has received active support from member organizations and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards.

The City Women's Union launched the campaign "30 days of action - Da Nang women join hands for the community", mobilizing more than 30,000 cadres and members to support necessities, cash, and working days to clean and repair houses, with a total budget of over 10 billion VND, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and affection of the city's women.
