Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic supports Khanh Hoa people to overcome the consequences of floods
Khanh Hoa - The delegation of the Vietnamese community representative in the Czech Republic visited Dien Lac commune to present support to people affected by floods.
On the afternoon of December 8, the delegation of the Vietnamese Community in the Czech Republic (Vietnam Association in the Czech Republic) was present in Dien Lac commune to present support to people affected by the floods last November.
On behalf of the locality, Ms. Tran Thi Tu Vien - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province - received a symbolic board with a total amount of 1 billion VND from the representative delegation of the Vietnamese Community in the Czech Republic.

Mr. Hoang Kieu Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Lac commune - said that the flood on November 19 - 20 caused local flooding in all 11/11 villages of the commune, affecting about 6,000 households with more than 21,500 people. Many families suffered losses in property, crops; public facilities were also damaged, people's lives and production were disrupted.
According to Mr. Hung, the timely support from the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is very meaningful, helping people stabilize their spirit, overcome initial damage and soon restore their lives after the flood.
Mr. Pham Van Hien - Member of the Vietnam Association Federation of Socialist Republics in the Czech Republic, Vice President of the Vietnam Business Association in Europe - said that in Dien Lac commune, the delegation presented 500 million VND to directly support 250 families, and transferred 130 million VND to the Commune Fatherland Front Committee to support the most severely damaged cases.
In addition, the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic also transferred 370 million VND to the Fatherland Front Committee (FFF) of Khanh Hoa province.
After finishing the program in Khanh Hoa, the delegation will continue to Dak Lak to donate VND 2.195 billion to support people affected by floods.
Mr. Pham Van Hien shared that these activities demonstrate the affection for the homeland of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, while affirming the effective coordination role of the Union in cross-border charity programs.
