Stabilizing income, increasing benefits for Khanh Hoa seaweed workers

On December 6, the Trade Union of Khanh Hoa Seafood Seafood Seafood Joint Stock Company held the 2nd Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

As a 100% private-invested enterprise specializing in growing, processing and exporting seaweed products, the Company currently has 60 union members, of which 70% are female workers.

During the past term, the Executive Board of the Trade Union has closely coordinated with the Board of Directors of the company, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of employees.

Nearly 90% of the Company's employees have signed contracts with full social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance regimes. Workers are guaranteed wages according to the agreement; workers directly receive wages according to the norms and unit prices of products, helping to stabilize income even during the period of reduced seaweed harvest.

The grassroots trade union coordinates with enterprises in balancing the welfare budget, organizing periodic health check-ups, equipping labor protection, considering salary increases, taking vocational exams, and vacations according to regulations.

The Trade Union also participates in distributing welfare and reward funds; 13-14 month salary, support for sick leave and holidays with the amount of 42 million VND; taking care of Tet and holidays with a total budget of 585 million VND.

Cultural, sports activities, emulation movements, and picnicking tours are regularly organized with a budget of more than 500 million VND, contributing to building a united and cohesive working environment.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Bui Dang Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, acknowledged the outstanding results of the grassroots trade union in the past term.

Especially the role of taking care of the income and life of workers. Mr. Thanh emphasized that in the new period, the role of grassroots trade unions is even more important in ensuring the rights and caring for union members.

In particular, the top priority is to develop solutions to care for union members and workers better and better; promote propaganda and education of union members about policies, guidelines, and policies of the Party, State, Trade Union organizations and policies related to the rights and interests of workers.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy, General Director of D&T Group, highly appreciated the union's support in welfare work such as health care, shift allowances, housing support, encouraging education for workers' children and promptly proposing policies during the recent floods.

At the same time, he pledged to work with the Trade Union to ensure jobs, build a safe working environment, happy workers, and develop sustainably together.
