Promoting innovation and improving labor productivity in Workers' Month 2026
In Workers' Month 2026, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union levels mobilize officials, union members and workers (NLĐ) to actively propose initiatives and innovative solutions, contributing to increasing labor productivity.

On April 24, Mr. Tran Van Thang - Chairman of Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City - informed that the Ward Trade Union has just launched Workers' Month 2026 and signed a memorandum of understanding to implement the Trade Union Welfare program with 4 units. Thereby, helping union members and workers to borrow preferential interest rates from CEP Microfinance Organization to do secondary economic activities, improve family life, and buy clean rice with subsidies from 20% - 40%.
Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union also signed a coordination agreement with the Ward's Business Association to commit to creating a safe and sustainable working environment by advising businesses on building transparent salary and bonus regulations, building collective labor agreements to ensure compliance with regulations. In particular, Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union also signed a coordination agreement with the Ward Health Station to establish a "Health consultation hotline" between the Health Station and grassroots trade unions to support timely answering medical questions for employees, and organize periodic basic health check-ups right at the workplace for union members and employees.
Strengthening proposals for initiatives and innovative solutions
Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - shared that in Workers' Month 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization organized many effective activities with practical requirements, taking workers as the center, grassroots trade unions as the foundation for deployment, digital transformation as a tool, and actual effectiveness as a measure.
It is noteworthy that Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union levels organized the "Peak Month to promote the movement of innovation, digital initiatives, and improve labor productivity", strengthening propaganda and mobilizing trade union officials, union members and employees to participate in responding and proposing initiatives and solutions for innovation and digital transformation suitable to job positions and actual conditions in groups, lines, workshops, departments, and divisions, contributing to improving labor productivity. Coordinating with employers to guide, receive, summarize, and evaluate initiatives, and promptly support the implementation of feasible and effective initiatives.
Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union levels will promptly commend workers with initiatives and typical improvements, focusing on commendation at the grassroots level, enterprises and selecting initiatives with high profit value and good spillover effects to propose rewards to superiors, and at the same time introduce and replicate them throughout the trade union system. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union levels will register and implement projects, products, initiatives, and innovations to celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031.
In Workers' Month 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization organizes the program "May Dialogue", striving for 70% of grassroots trade unions to coordinate with employers to organize dialogues; Program "Thank you workers" and activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; Program "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" focuses on introducing and guiding workers to participate in retraining, advanced training, and career change programs. Program "Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; introducing the development of party members and workers"; Organizing the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026) and propaganda about the working class and trade union organizations; organizing activities "Moment of Action on Occupational Safety and Health" in 2026, theme: Innovation in management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health work in the digital age.
