In addition, Ms. Trang is also one of 820 union members and workers who were awarded free health insurance cards launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and supported by benefactors. Ms. Trang shared: "It is truly thanks to the union that I get health care. Now I am much less worried because I have a health insurance card, a "magic" to ensure my health".

Also given a free health insurance card, Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Hoa, another motorbike taxi union member, confided: "With this health insurance card, we no longer have to worry too much when sick or ill. This health insurance card is not only material but also a great spiritual encouragement, helping us to have more confidence in the social security policies of the Party and the State, clearly feeling the care and love of the community and the Trade Union organization".

Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, said that the survey shows that there are still some freelance workers such as motorbike taxi drivers, delivery people, grocery stores, lottery ticket sellers, childcare workers... who do not have health insurance, and are prone to difficulties when sick or ill. Since then, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has mobilized businesses to join hands to support the donation of 820 health insurance cards to the above subjects with a value of more than 1 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoat - General Director of Southern Rubber Joint Stock Company (CASUMINA), the unit that supported more than 126.3 million VND to give 100 health insurance cards, shared: Health insurance is one of the important pillars of social security, especially for people in difficult circumstances. If they are unfortunately sick, sick or have an accident while working without health insurance, the risk of falling back into poverty will come to these people. For such important and humane significance, CASUMINA has accompanied the Trade Union organization to give health insurance cards to those in need".

Helping union members convert gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles

Due to not having money to buy a car, he had to use a business car to drive, so he enjoyed a low revenue rate, about 62 - 64%, not to mention that if he did not drive for enough time according to regulations and stopped without a legitimate reason, he would be fined 50,000 VND/day. This is also the common situation of many other union members.

Faced with that reality, Binh Tan Technology Motorbike taxi Union has coordinated with CEP microfinance Organization and a business to support union members to borrow capital to pay in installments for 12 months, without interest to buy their own motorbike taxi drivers. Mr. Tung calculated that because it is his vehicle, the beneficiary rate increased to 80 - 82%, driving more proactively, having more time to rest without worrying about being fined for revenue as before.

According to Mr. Le Tan Luu - Chairman of Binh Tan Technology Motorbike taxi Union, many union members currently do not have their own cars, have to use enterprise vehicles to drive, so they enjoy a low discount rate. In addition, many people are still using gasoline vehicles. Therefore, Binh Tan Technology Motorbike taxi Union has coordinated to support union members to borrow capital to pay installments and without interest to buy and change cars. In the first phase, 17 union members have benefited from this policy.
