Phu Dong Commune Trade Union strives for 100% of grassroots trade union officials to be trained in skills

The Congress took place with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", with the participation of 108 official delegates representing over 2,300 union members, workers and civil servants in the commune.

According to the Political Report submitted to the Congress, Phu Dong Commune Trade Union was established on September 22, 2025, managing and guiding the activities of 66 grassroots trade unions with over 2,300 union members. Immediately after its establishment, the Commune Trade Union quickly came into operation, closely following the direction of the City Labor Federation, focusing on consolidating the apparatus, building a living order, connecting grassroots trade unions in the area, and gradually promoting its role as a trusted representative of union members and workers.

For the 2025 - 2030 term, the Commune Trade Union sets out many specific and practical targets: 90% or more union members and workers are propagandized and studied resolutions and legal policies; 100% of union members in difficult circumstances are cared for and cared for when requested; 100% of grassroots union officials are trained in skills and expertise; by the end of the term, 100% of meetings of the Commune Trade Union Executive Committee do not use paper, union officials are proficient in applying artificial intelligence in handling work; strive to have over 72% of agencies, units and enterprises meet cultural standards out of the total number of registered units.

The commune trade union identified three key breakthroughs: Building a team of union cadres with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility and the ability to innovate and apply digital transformation; Promoting dialogue, collective bargaining, focusing on jobs, wages, occupational safety and hygiene; Strengthening the gathering and mobilization of workers to join trade unions, consolidating the organizational position in the non-state enterprise sector.

The Congress heard the announcement of the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee and the positions of Phu Dong Commune Trade Union officials for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, Mr. Trang Thanh Nam was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Phu Dong Commune Trade Union. The Congress also announced the Decision to appoint official delegates to attend the 18th Hanoi City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
