Kim Lien Ward Trade Union pioneers in digital transformation and grassroots democracy

Currently, Kim Lien Ward Trade Union has 97 grassroots trade unions with over 5,000 union members, mainly from schools and enterprises.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Hoang Thi Mai - Chairwoman of the Phuong Mai Primary School Union - said that developing and implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulations well is a premise for implementing political and professional tasks at agencies and units.

Right from the beginning of each school year, the Executive Board of the Trade Union has proactively coordinated with the Board of Directors of the school to direct and guide the Trade Union groups to participate in collecting comments and developing the Regulation on implementing democracy at the grassroots level for teachers and staff in the whole school. From diversifying forms of propaganda such as through the team of union leaders, through articles on websites, social networks; competitions, exchanges on legal knowledge, knowledge of democratic regulations, 100% of teachers and staff of the school are propagandized and clearly understand the rights and responsibilities of each individual in implementing democracy at the grassroots level.

The first Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Kim Lien Ward Trade Union agreed to set 10 targets and 3 breakthroughs. In which, it emphasizes the innovation of the content and methods of trade union activities to meet the requirements in the new situation; caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; building a team of trade union officials to meet the requirements of the digital transformation period... Some specific goals include striving to achieve and exceed the annual targets for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions assigned by the City Labor Federation. Every year, 70% or more of non-state enterprises organize Workers' conferences and develop regulations and organize dialogues at the workplace. 85% of enterprises and units with trade unions negotiate and sign Collective Labor Agreements according to the provisions of law...

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy suggested that the Kim Lien Ward Labor Union focus on immediately implementing a number of contents. In which, promoting digital transformation in Trade Union activities, pioneering in propaganda work and grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members. The ward union resolutely implements digital transformation in all aspects of union activities, identifying this as a breakthrough task, making the most of the advantages of digital technology to improve the efficiency of management, operation and interaction...

According to the Decision of appointment announced at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang is the Chairman of the Kim Lien Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030.
