Hung Yen Trade Union innovates, effectively cares for workers

Continuing the instructions at the Congress, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor analyzed in depth the results achieved in participating in policy making, caring for life and maintaining stable labor relations of all levels of the Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union in the past term.

Looking back at the past term, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu highly appreciated the proactive innovation and creativity of the Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union in its methods to bring practical benefits to workers, despite facing many difficulties due to the context of economic fluctuations.

Evaluating the work of protecting rights, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor acknowledged the proactiveness of the Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union in participating in developing policies, laws and internal regulations at the grassroots level. Typically, the intellectual contributions of delegates in participating in law-making, together with efforts to promote dialogue and collective bargaining to bring the most beneficial provisions for workers.

A highlight is the work of representing and protecting legal rights, with more than 46,500 union members receiving timely legal advice. In addition, the accompanying role of the Trade Union is also affirmed through the successful organization of 200 "Tet Sum Vay" programs, supporting 5,000 workers with a total cost of up to 100 billion VND, and realizing the dream of settling down for many families through the construction of 106 "Union Shelters".

In supervision work, Trade Unions at all levels have conducted 156 independent supervisions and coordinated inter-sectoral inspections of more than 242 sessions, ensuring that labor policies are seriously implemented.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu also praised the creative working spirit of workers and civil servants in the whole province with 24,600 initiatives, bringing in about 116 billion VND, along with 10 key projects to celebrate the Congress that have been completed on schedule.

In the field of propaganda, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu praised the strong application of information technology and social networks to reach more than 250,000 union members. The labor relations situation in the area has been maintained stably.

The creative labor emulation movement has spread strongly with 24,000 initiatives, bringing a value of more than 116 billion VND to businesses and localities. Along with 10 key projects to celebrate major events, these results have contributed to changing the socio-economic landscape of Hung Yen province to increasingly develop modernity.

In addition to the achievements, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu also frankly highly appreciated the self-criticizing spirit of the Trade Unions at all levels when clearly identifying the 4 limitations and 6 causes in the report.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, to successfully achieve the set goals, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested that all levels of trade unions need to focus on key tasks. First of all, it is necessary to continue to improve political courage and lifestyle ethics for the team of workers and civil servants by promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized the importance of training human resources, especially young workers, not only in terms of educational qualifications and professional skills but also in modern industrial style.
