The first Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress enters the first working session
Hung Yen - On December 26, the 1st Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, entered its first working session.
At the first working session, the first Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Delegation of Delegation status Examination Board; and approved the program and working regulations of the Congress.
The first Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress is of special significance, marking a milestone after the merger and reorganization of trade union organizations at all levels. The Congress marked a fundamental change in the organizational model and methods of Trade Union activities in the new period.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress focused on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress and the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2023-2025 period; at the same time, setting out goals, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term, contributing to implementing the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress of Hung Yen Province.
According to the report, after merging the Hung Yen and Thai Binh Provincial Labor Federations, by October 30, 2025, the whole province will manage 1,473 grassroots unions with 304,279 union members, a decrease of 57,977 union members and 1,844 grassroots unions after the organizational arrangement.

The labor structure shifted towards reducing the State sector and increasing the non-State sector. The rate of trained workers reached 71%, but highly skilled workers were still low; the skills and industrial style of a part of the workers did not meet the requirements.
Income in administrative and career sectors is stable; enterprises implement the regional minimum wage well. The average income of workers is about 6.5 million VND/person/month, however, the lives of a part of workers are still difficult. Working conditions in large enterprises have improved, but in many small and medium-sized enterprises, there are still potential risks of unsafe labor; shift meals and regular health check-ups are not guaranteed.
In the 2023-2025 period, Trade Union activities received the attention and leadership of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the coordination of sectors and localities. Trade unions at all levels have gradually innovated the content and methods of operation; focusing on caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
On the morning of December 27, the Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term continued to work with a solemn session.
