Dong Thap Trade Union helps union members settle down and work steadfastly

Responding to the peak emulation period "30 days towards the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress" launched by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Provincial Federation of Labor has implemented many practical projects and tasks. In particular, the highlight is the focus on completing the "Union Shelter" Project of 100.

2025 is a special year, marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. In the exciting competitive atmosphere, the Provincial Federation of Labor has launched the construction of 100 "Union Shelters" for union members with difficult housing circumstances.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has allocated funds to build and repair 131 houses with a total cost of more than 7.49 billion VND. Of which, 111 houses have been handed over, and 20 houses are being urgently completed. This result far exceeded the initial target, affirming the determination and efforts of the Trade Union and the cooperation of all levels, sectors, and the social community.

Over the years, the "Union Shelter" program has always been a highlight in the Union's caring activities, helping thousands of union members stabilize their housing, feel secure in their work and organization.

Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the Trade Union Shelter program is a key and regular task of the Trade Union organization. The support for the construction of 131 houses since the beginning of the year is not only a concrete demonstration of the spirit of accompanying union members and workers, but also a practical project to welcome the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Excited when receiving the new house, union member Tran Thi Thuy Kieu - Trade Union of Quoc Te Seafood Company Limited said that her family has had to live in a makeshift leafy house for many years, with rotten rain and sunny seasons. With a small salary for workers, she never dared to think about having a new house.

"Thanks to the support of the Union, my family has a solid place to live. I am truly grateful to the Trade Union and will try my best not to miss this attention, said Ms. Thuy Kieu.
