Focus on developing union members

On June 8, the City Labor Federation organized a quick information conference on the results of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031.

The program is organized directly at the City Labor Federation agency combined online with 28 commune and ward trade union bridge points.

At the conference, Mr. Le Van Dai, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation informed delegates about the entire development and results of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

On June 3-5, 2026, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi Capital, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031 was solemnly held with the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".

The Congress was attended by 780 outstanding delegates, representing the will, aspirations and wisdom of more than 10 million trade union members and a large number of workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide.

After 3 days of working with a spirit of democracy, responsibility, solidarity and innovation, the Congress completed the entire content of the proposed program and achieved great success.

Through discussion sessions at the Hall and 5 thematic discussion centers, delegates focused on comprehensively assessing the results of implementing the Resolution of the XIII Vietnam Trade Union Congress in the period 2023 - 2026; discussing and deciding on goals, tasks, and solutions to build the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the new term 2026 - 2031.

The Congress identified the general objectives for the 2026 - 2031 term as: Focusing on developing union members, perfecting the organizational model, and improving operational efficiency.

Effectively perform the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promote the implementation of democracy in the workplace.

Propagating and mobilizing workers to innovate and create, pioneer in applying science and technology, building new production forces, improving labor productivity, contributing to building a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy country.

Deploying a new emulation movement

The Congress decided to deploy a new emulation movement: "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income"; focusing on implementing 2 breakthroughs in the 2026–2031 term; 3 key programs; 4 key projects.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026 - 2031, consisting of 135 comrades. At the first Conference, the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor elected the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor consisting of 27 comrades; elected comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to hold the position of Chairman of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

For the Da Nang City Labor Federation, 3 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee, in which, comrade Phan Thi Thuy Linh, Member of the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, City Party Committee Member, Chairman of the City Labor Federation was elected to the Standing Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

According to Mr. Le Van Dai, immediately after the congress, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will develop an action program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the congress.

Through this, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress, together with trade union levels nationwide, contributing to building a strong, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam.
