Cam Duong Trade Union sets a goal of innovation, aimed at workers

On the afternoon of October 30, Cam Duong Ward Trade Union held its 1st Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The congress was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Vu Hung Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Cam Duong Ward; along with leaders of agencies, units, representatives of trade unions of communes and wards and 150 delegates representing more than 3,000 union members and workers.

Cam Duong Ward Trade Union currently manages 42 grassroots trade unions, with 3,018 union members. Over the past term, the Trade Union has implemented many practical activities, focusing on the grassroots, taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers.

The programs "Thank you, union members", "Union Meal", "Union Tet Market" have supported and visited 2,750 union members, of which 5 families were supported to build "Union Shelter".

Every year, over 80% of union members actively contribute to humanitarian and charitable funds, spreading the spirit of sharing and solidarity.

Along with that, the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Good at public work - good at home work" have developed enthusiastically, contributing to improving productivity and work efficiency.

During the term, the Ward Union promoted and mobilized the establishment of 3 new grassroots unions, admitting 105 more union members.

Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Congress set a goal of continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote digital transformation, build a strong trade union organization, contributing to the goal of building Cam Duong ward "developed - green - modern - happy".

The Congress identified 3 breakthroughs: representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of union members; developing union members, establishing grassroots unions according to the motto "where there are workers, there is a union organization"; and innovating methods of operation in accordance with the new situation.

In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor acknowledged and praised the achieved results, and at the same time requested the Cam Duong Ward Trade Union to continue to promote its role as a bridge between the Party and workers, proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members to advise on practical care solutions; develop trade unions in the non-state sector, and focus on the grassroots.

At the Congress, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Inspection Committee of Cam Duong Ward Trade Union and the delegation to attend the Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
