20 peak days of standardizing grassroots trade union data

Working Group No. 2 for area management under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has just organized a conference to launch the peak activity period "20 days of cleaning and standardizing data of grassroots trade unions and union members" with more than 400 trade union officials who are chairmen, vice chairmen, trade union accountants of wards, communes and grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) participating.

Mr. Vo Khac Binh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Working Group No. 2 for area management of Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the launch is of practical significance, showing the determination to promote administrative reform, application of information technology and digital transformation in the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union system.

The implementation period is from April 10 to April 30, with the aim of raising awareness and responsibility of trade union officials in digital transformation, promoting the effectiveness of using grassroots trade union data and union members on digital platforms, and at the same time contributing to the effective deployment of the "Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Management Application". Accordingly, it is required that grassroots trade unions urgently review and fully and accurately update data fields, ensure information safety and security and strictly comply with regulations in data management. The set target is to strive for 100% of grassroots trade unions directly under Working Group No. 2 to complete data updates on schedule. One of the key solutions is to guide the synchronous review, adjustment and update of 5 core data groups on the application, including: grassroots trade union information, finance, legal, reports, recommendations - proposals. Along with that is the mechanism of delegation of power to monitor, urge, and directly guide grassroots trade unions; weekly progress reporting regime, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles.

Speaking to direct at the conference, Mr. Pham Chi Tam - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized the requirement for units to seriously deploy and update data on grassroots trade unions and union members, ensuring accuracy, synchronization, and timely progress according to requirements, considering this as an important foundation to improve management efficiency in the new period.

Promoting the "Application of Trade Union Management in Ho Chi Minh City

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has reported to the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan on "Application of operating the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union". Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation is directly managing 23,070 grassroots trade unions with over 2.4 million union members. This is a very large number of grassroots trade unions and union members, so it is necessary to promote digital transformation in the management of grassroots trade unions, union members and trade union activities, especially in the context that many officials do not have experience in trade union activities.

From there, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation identified the key breakthrough as building and promoting the "Application of Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Management" in the direction of becoming a unified digital governance platform throughout the entire system. This is a strategic solution, aimed at comprehensively digitizing nghiệp vụ processes from grassroots trade unions to city-level levels, thereby restructuring management methods towards modernity, transparency and based on real data.

The "Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Management Application" is oriented with core objectives: Establishing a real-time governance model, replacing the traditional reporting method with dynamic data, continuously updated; building an electronic identification system for each grassroots trade union, ensuring legality and transparency in operations in the digital environment. At the same time, comprehensively integrating functions, including: Grassroots Trade Union Management; real-time union member management; management of collection of trade union financial expenses with the ability to automatically check data, supervise revenue and expenditure; management of care and welfare programs for union members on a digital platform and especially a reporting system, visual data analysis to serve direction and administration.

Through this, leaders at all levels can comprehensively grasp the operational situation, detect early arising problems, and thereby make timely and accurate decisions.
