Ho Chi Minh City Fire Police rescue a woman with a high fever of more than 100 kg trapped in an old attic
HCMC - The HCMC Fire Police force successfully rescued a woman weighing more than 100 kg with high fever and convulsions trapped in a narrow attic, handing her over to the 115 Health Station.
On October 12, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (HCMC Police) informed that they had promptly coordinated with the 115 Emergency Center to successfully move a woman with high fever, convulsions, and a large weight, trapped on a wooden attic to safety.
Accordingly, at 2:12 p.m. on October 11, the unit received an emergency request for support from the Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center for moving a victim from above.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (HCMC Police) quickly arrived at the scene at a house on Nhat Tao Street, Dien Hong Ward. The victim was identified as a woman, estimated to weigh more than 100 kg, lying in a wooden attic on the 2nd floor with a high fever, convulsions and inability to move.
The situation became complicated because the wooden stairs up and down were degraded, about 70 cm wide and too narrow, causing medical staff at 115 to not be able to take the victim to the first floor.
Realizing that the victim needed to be taken to the nearest medical facility urgently, the firefighters closely coordinated with Health 115 to conduct first aid ( giving oxygen, IV fluids) and encouraged the victim to calm down.
The rescue team then deployed safety belts and specialized techniques, carefully and quickly brought the victim from the wooden attic on the 2nd floor to a safe area, and handed him over to the 115 medical agency for further emergency care.
