85% of grassroots trade unions in Quang Yen ward, Quang Ninh deploy digital transformation before 2030

On October 21, the Executive Committee of the Quang Yen Ward Trade Union held the 1st Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.

Attending were Mr. To Xuan Thao, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor; Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, and 136 official delegates.

The Quang Yen Ward Trade Union was established in June 2025, currently managing 43 grassroots trade unions, of which 32 are in the enterprise sector.

From 2023 to present, the locality has created jobs for more than 3,500 workers, with an average income of 7.59 million VND/person/month.

The Trade Union has guided and supported 32 enterprises to sign Collective Labor Agreements (reaching a rate of 74%) and organized 58 dialogues between employees and employers.

With the action slogan "Quang Yen Trade Union - Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Innovation, Development", the Congress agreed on the general goal for the 2025-2030 term: innovating the content and methods of operation; building a strong and comprehensive trade union organization; caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers; contributing to building a beautiful, civilized, and vibrant Quang Yen with cultural identity, becoming a connecting center for the western region of the province.

Some specific targets by 2030 include: admitting 5,000 new union members; establishing 30 new grassroots unions; 100% of enterprises with 25 or more employees having trade unions; over 85% of grassroots unions deploying information technology applications, implementing digital transformation.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. To Xuan Thao and Mr. Le Thanh Cung acknowledged and praised the proactive and creative spirit of the Quang Yen Ward Trade Union. As an area with 3 key industrial parks, including many FDI enterprises with a large workforce, the consolidation of grassroots trade unions is of special significance in protecting workers' rights and accompanying local development.

Propose that the Quang Yen ward trade union in the new term continue to supervise the implementation of labor, employment, insurance, and salary policies; study and propose policies for the development of social housing, workers' housing, and cultural institutions; at the same time, apply digital technology, AI, and big data in trade union activities, becoming a reliable support for workers, contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development goals, building a civilized and modern Quang Yen, actively contributing to the overall development of Quang Ninh province.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee of the Quang Yen Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 7 comrades. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Quang Yen Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
