Phu Tho: Deploying "Union Meal" for workers

YÊN SAN (báo lao động) 17/07/2025 09:28 (GMT+7)

Phu Tho - The Provincial Trade Union has launched a "Union Meal" to take care of shift meals for workers, towards the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

According to the plan, the "Union Meal" will be implemented from July 20 to September 2, 2025, focusing on the occasion of celebrating the Vietnam Trade Union Day (July 28) and National Day September 2.

This is not only an activity in response to major national holidays, but also an opportunity for trade unions at all levels to affirm their role and mark in accompanying workers right at the workplace.

The program is organized based on the spirit of dialogue and negotiation between the union and the employer, ensuring that shift meals or lunches are of higher quality than usual.

The funding source for implementation is partly supported by the trade union organization, the rest is coordinated by the enterprise, depending on the actual conditions at each unit.

The requirement is to ensure food safety and hygiene, not disrupting production and business activities and especially creating opportunities for all workers to enjoy this humane meal.

Sharing about the significance of this activity, Mr. Tong Duc Chien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor, emphasized: "Celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union is an opportunity to look back on the past journey, re-evaluate the results achieved as well as the concerns. From there, trade unions at all levels will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots and workers".

The synchronous and extensive implementation of activities on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union continues to affirm the role and position of the trade union organization in caring for and protecting workers, contributing to building a strong workforce to meet the development requirements of the country.
