The affection of Lao Cai trade unions for people in the flooded areas of Thai Nguyen

In early October 2025, the circulation of storm No. 11 caused prolonged heavy rain, causing many localities in Thai Nguyen province to be seriously flooded, causing great damage to people and property.

Hundreds of households, including many union members and workers, were severely affected, their lives and production were interrupted.

In that situation, with the spirit of "Mutual love - Towards people in flooded areas", Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation launched a donation campaign to support and demonstrate the affection and responsibility of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the province towards people in disaster-affected areas.

On this occasion, the working delegation of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor led by Mr. Phan Huy Cuong - Vice Chairman, along with representatives of the thematic committees and trade unions at the grassroots level, visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to support union members and workers in Thai Nguyen.

At the meeting, on behalf of the working group, Mr. Phan Huy Cuong presented 100 million VND in cash along with more than 10 tons of essential goods including rice, instant noodles, drinking water and necessities, with a total value of over 50 million VND.

All funds and goods were mobilized from cadres, union members, and workers of Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union.

Lao Cai Trade Union always targets union members, workers and people in localities affected by natural disasters. This is a responsibility and also a sentiment of Lao Cai workers to the people in flooded areas.

Hopefully, this support will help families soon stabilize their lives and restore production," Vice President of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation Phan Huy Cuong shared.

Ms. Do Thi Hien - President of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation expressed her emotions and thanked the Lao Cai Labor Union for their timely and practical sharing and affection.

Although the gifts are not large in material things, they contain profound meaning, giving union members and people more strength to overcome difficulties after floods.

During the working trip, the delegation directly visited a number of union members and workers in low-lying communes that suffered heavy damage.

The image of Lao Cai trade union officials traveling long distances, bringing gifts and warm words of encouragement has left a beautiful impression on local people.

This visit and gift-giving activity is a specific and practical activity, demonstrating the spirit of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the solidarity between workers, civil servants and laborers in the two provinces of Lao Cai - Thai Nguyen.

Thereby affirming the role, social responsibility and kindness of the Trade Union organization - always accompanying workers and the community in all circumstances.
