The level of care for union members and workers during Tet by the Vietnam Health Trade Union

One of the activities to take care of the Lunar New Year 2026 in the plan is to organize visits and give Tet gifts to union members and workers.

Accordingly, based on the actual situation and direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Trade Union will organize or participate in delegations of leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Ministry of Health to visit, give gifts, and wish a happy New Year to union members and workers at the unit with many union members and workers in difficult circumstances, low income, and heavily affected by natural disasters...; units facing many difficulties in production and business activities; special units such as the reserve block, forces, labor, spirituality, exposure to dangerous and toxic factors, and on duty for the 2026 Lunar New Year.

Vietnam Health Trade Union balances regular revenue and expenditure during the year, existing accumulated union finances to take care of Tet for union members and workers according to the allocated quantity:

Based on the number of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, long-term illnesses, serious work accidents (traffic accidents) being treated at hospitals, having reduced working hours, losing their jobs, owed wages and bonuses; union members and workers from policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; union members and workers staying at their units, agencies, and enterprises to work, produce, and do business during Tet; union officials and union members traveling far away, losing their jobs due to the unit's reduction of production or restructuring of enterprises or being severely affected by natural disasters and fires, and being sent by grassroots unions for care.

Maximum care level: 1,000,000 VND/meal and paid in cash. Support is not more than 12% of the total number of union members in grassroots unions.

Other special cases will be decided by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Health Trade Union on the basis of implementation according to Decision No. 1411/QD-TLD dated August 1, 2024 of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor regulating standards and norms for spending regimes in trade union agencies. The maximum care level is 2,000,000 VND/person/time.

To avoid duplication of beneficiaries, the Vietnam Health Trade Union recommends that the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union not propose cases that have been supported according to Official Dispatch No. 246/CDYT dated August 8, 2025 of the Vietnam Health Trade Union on supporting union members who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, and are in especially difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
