Support 50 million VND for union members in Son La whose houses caught fire
Son La - On August 14, the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor presented "Union Shelter" support to the family of Ms. Me Thi Tuyet, a union member of Binh Minh Kindergarten in Yen Chau commune.
Ms. Me Thi Tuyet is one of the cases with particularly difficult housing circumstances. The couple and their two young children live with their parents-in-law in a stilt house, but in early 2025, the house went into an electrical short circuit and burned down.
The family's income depends only on Ms. Tuyet's salary as a teacher, her parents are often sick, and her husband does not have a stable job. She alone has to shoulder the burden to take care of her family.
Understanding the difficult circumstances of Ms. Tuyet's family, the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) presented her with support of 50 million VND.
After 5 months of construction with the help of the grassroots trade union (CDCS), local authorities and relatives on both sides of the family, the new house of the family was completed with a total value of about 400 million VND.
Promoting the role of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers in recent years, Son La Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have actively mobilized the contributions of organizations and individuals to join hands to help union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances.
