Union provides emergency subsidies to families of workers killed by lightning
Hanoi - The Hanoi City Labor Federation decided to give an emergency allowance of 3 million VND to the family of worker Nguyen Thi Hiep.
Ms. Hiep is a worker at Star Fashion Company Limited. On the evening of July 30, after finishing her shift, on her way home, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hiep was unfortunately beaten by lightning.
Although she was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment immediately afterwards, she did not survive due to the seriousness of her injuries.
According to the Trade Union of Star Fashion Company Limited, Ms. Hiep joined the company in November 2011. Ms. Hiep is a gentle, hard-working person, always completing her work well, and is loved by her colleagues.
Her family is in difficult circumstances. Her husband is a construction worker. The couple has three children.
Immediately after the incident, the Company's Trade Union requested the superior Trade Union to provide emergency subsidies to Ms. Hiep's family.
After receiving the proposal, the City Labor Federation decided to provide emergency allowances to the workers' families.
