Supporting union members and workers in Dong Thap affected by storm No. 3

On July 30, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor organized a delegation to visit, encourage and provide support to 23 union members and workers in difficult circumstances due to the impact of storm No. 3.

At the destinations, leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor sent their warmest condolences and deepest condolences to the workers and their families; encouraged the spirit, hoped that the union members would soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and continue to work and produce with peace of mind.

According to the report, most of the supported cases had their roofs blown off, their houses collapsed, and their assets were severely damaged, seriously affecting their housing and living conditions. In particular, many people are main breadwinners, raising young children or the elderly who are sick and have very difficult lives.

Sharing the difficulties with union members and workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor has decided to support 2 million VND/person, a total cost of 46 million VND, drawn from the union's financial resources according to Decision No. 1411/QD-TLD of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the timely concern and care of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers affected by natural disasters, contributing to helping them reduce difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
