Trade unions support workers to overcome the consequences of floods

On December 30, the Trade Union of Quang Thai Company Limited (Lam Dong province) organized a support handover ceremony for union members and workers whose families suffered losses due to storms and floods.

Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Quang Thai Company Limited, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lam, said that this is the second support package of the unit, and at the same time, an activity to celebrate the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 20252030.

The beneficiaries are union members and workers whose families suffered heavy losses during the flood in early December. At the program, the union coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to provide support to 17 union members and workers, each worth 1 million VND.

"There are union members and workers who have been severely affected by floods, who really need timely encouragement and sharing from the union and businesses to soon stabilize their lives," Ms. Lam shared.

After the natural disaster, the trade union reviewed affected cases to promptly visit and support. Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Nhi (from Hue City), a worker at Thai Bao Tea Group, emotionally expressed: The Trade Union and the Board of Directors always care about the lives of workers. This meaningful gift helps us motivated to overcome difficulties.

Previously, the union and the Board of Directors of Quang Thai Company Limited presented support to 11 workers in difficult circumstances, whose families suffered heavy losses, each person 2 million VND.

Thus, up to now, the unit has supported 28 union members and workers to overcome the consequences of floods with a total amount of 39 million VND.
