Nghe An - The Labor Union of the Social Policy Bank presented New Year gifts to poor households and policy families in Quy Chau district.

On January 22, the Trade Union of the Bank for Social Policies organized a program to give Tet gifts to the poor and policy families in Quy Chau commune, Nghe An province. The working delegation was led by Mr. Tran Duy Dong - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Bank for Social Policies -; attended by the Chairman of the Trade Union of the Bank for Social Policies of Nghe An province.

At the program, the Trade Union of the Bank for Social Policies presented 50 gifts, each worth VND800,000 (including gift bags worth VND200,000 and VND600,000 in cash), worth a total of VND40 million to poor, near-poor households and policy families in the area. The gifts demonstrate the concern and sharing of the staff and employees of the Social Policy Bank, contributing to helping families celebrate Tet more fully and warmly.

On this occasion, the Trade Union of the Bank for Social Policies also presented Tet gifts to 5 communes of Nghe An province including Muong Xen, Muong tip, Luong Minh, Tuong Duong and Quy Chau with a total of 200 gifts, worth 160 million VND. Nationwide, the total budget for giving Tet gifts of the Social Policy Bank to the poor and policy families in provinces and cities is up to more than 7 billion VND.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Tran Duy Dong said that in addition to performing well the political and professional tasks assigned by the Party, the National Assembly and the Government, in recent years, the Social Policy Bank Trade Union has always actively implemented social security and charity activities such as giving gifts to poor households and policy families on holidays and Tet; supporting the construction of gratitude houses; supporting the Fund for the Poor... thereby spreading the spirit of humanity in the community.

According to Mr. Tran Duy Dong, policy credit capital has been helping many poor households and policy beneficiaries escape poverty, have stable livelihoods, and gradually improve their lives.

By December 31, 2025, the total policy credit capital managed by the Bank for Social Policies will reach VND 426,262 billion, total outstanding loans will reach VND 413,527 billion, with more than 6.7 million poor households and policy beneficiaries still in debt.

Nghe An Province Social Policy Bank Branch alone is implementing 23 policy credit programs, with a total outstanding debt of VND 14,960 billion, supporting nearly 214,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries to borrow capital, including 74,827 poor and near-poor households.
