Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation awarded 300 Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships at the city level in 2025 to students who are children of workers in Ho Chi Minh City. Each gift is worth 1 million VND, 1 health check-up voucher, 1 gift, the total value is more than 2.1 million VND/gift.

Present at the program, many parents who are workers were very happy and moved. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, a worker in Binh Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City, emotionally said: "In previous years, due to difficulties, children had to reuse old books and old packs. Now that the union has awarded Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship, my wife and I are very happy. I will buy a new pair for the children to go to school".

Similarly, Ms. Thanh Duyen, a worker in Tan Uyen ward, Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "The new school year is approaching, my family is also worried about money to buy school supplies and clothes for their children. With this scholarship, I am very happy, I will have more money to buy new clothes and a bicycle for my daughter. The scholarship is a great source of encouragement for our children and helps workers overcome some of the difficulties as the new school year is approaching.

Adding confidence and motivation to workers

Fortunately, many businesses inside and outside the trade union organization have actively supported the Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship program of the trade union organization.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Hai - Director of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Guest House, Ho Chi Minh City branch - said that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Guest House, Ho Chi Minh City branch has donated 50 million VND to contribute to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in awarding Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship to children of workers in difficult circumstances.

As for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoat - General Director of Southern Rubber Industrial Joint Stock Company (Casumina), the unit has donated 350 million VND to contribute to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to award the Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship at the city level in 2025, considering the Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship program as a humane program, aiming to help students who are children of workers directly involved in production and union members in difficult circumstances, strive to overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.

Accompanying the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union to take care of the children of union members and workers will give workers and their children more confidence and motivation to overcome difficulties, strive to study, and move forward for a brighter future, said Mr. Khoat.
