Ca Mau Trade Union takes care of Tet for nearly 10,000 union members and workers

Ca Mau - Nearly 10,000 union members and workers are cared for and supported with more than 8 billion VND through the program "Tet reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party".

On the afternoon of February 6th, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program in 2026 at the Ca Mau Trade Union Tourism Hotel Restaurant. This is an annual activity to care for the lives of union members and workers (NLĐ) in difficult circumstances every Tet and Spring.

Attending the program were leaders and former leaders of the Central Government; representatives of National Assembly leaders; leaders of Ca Mau province, departments, agencies, branches, and mass organizations; leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation and more than 350 typical union members and workers working at agencies, units, and businesses in the province.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Duong Thanh Binh - former Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Petitions and Supervision - highly appreciated the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers, especially during the Lunar New Year. At the same time, he wished that trade union levels would continue to promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.

Ms. Huynh Ut Muoi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation - said that caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers is the central task of the Trade Union organization. Through the program, the Trade Union wishes to contribute to helping workers have more conditions to enjoy Spring, celebrate Tet, feel secure in working, and be attached to units and businesses.

According to the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation, during the Binh Ngo Tet 2026, the whole province has nearly 10,000 union members and workers receiving Tet gifts with a total budget of more than 8 billion VND. In which, Party and State leaders presented 300 gifts including cash and Tet gift bags.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supported more than 5,000 cash gifts for union members and workers in the province. In addition, thousands of shopping vouchers on e-commerce platforms were also awarded, contributing to helping workers have more conditions to prepare for Tet.

In parallel with the Tet gift-giving activity, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation organized the presentation of symbolic boards to support the construction and repair of Trade Union Solidarity Houses for union members in housing difficulties. On this occasion, the Provincial Trade Union supported 7 Trade Union Solidarity Houses, with a total budget of 325 million VND, helping union members stabilize their accommodation and feel secure in working and production.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen - a member of the grassroots Trade Union of Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Company - expressed her emotion and thanked leaders at all levels, trade union organizations and sponsors for their concern and sharing with workers during Tet.
