Commune-level People's Committees conduct the selection and calling of female citizens to join the army from August 7

According to Article 10 of Decree 13/2016/ND-CP, the People's Committees at the district level shall conduct the selection and calling of female citizens for military service who meet the targets, meet the standards and time according to the regulations for selecting and calling citizens for military service annually.

Decree 220/2025/ND-CP amends and supplements a number of articles of a number of Decrees in the fields of national defense and military when organizing local governments at two levels, effective from August 7, 2025.

Pursuant to Clause 8, Article 7 of Decree 220/2025/ND-CP amending and supplementing Clause 2, Clause 3, Article 10 of Decree 13/2016/ND-CP on military service of female citizens in peacetime as follows:

2. Pursuant to the Decision of the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the target of selecting female citizens to join the army to the Commune People's Committee for implementation.

The People's Committee at the commune level shall notify female citizens of military service age; female citizens must submit a voluntary application for military service with confirmation from the People's Committee at the commune level where they reside.

3. The People's Committee at the commune level conducts the selection and calling of female citizens for military service who meet the targets, meet the standards, and the time according to the regulations for selecting and calling citizens for military service every year.

Thus, according to the above amendment, from August 7, 2025, the People's Committee at the commune level will conduct a selection for calling female citizens to join the army who meet the quota, meet the standards, and the time according to the regulations for selecting citizens to join the army every year.
