Overtime teaching salary for seconded and inter-school teachers

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 10, Article 3 of Circular 21/2025/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training (effective from September 23, 2025) stipulates the salary for extra teaching hours for seconded teachers and teachers teaching in schools, as follows:

a) The educational institution where the teacher is seconded pays the overtime salary for the seconded teacher;

b) The educational institution where the teacher teaches in the inter-school will pay overtime teaching salaries to teachers participating in inter-school teaching. In case a teacher is assigned to teach at three or more educational institutions at the same time (including the educational institution where the teacher works), the salary for teaching extra hours of the teacher will be paid by the educational institutions where the teacher teaches at the same institution according to the actual number of teaching periods of teachers in these educational institutions.

Thus, from September 23, 2025, the salary for extra teaching hours for seconded and inter-school teachers is regulated as above.
