Clause 1, Article 25 of Decree 109/2026/ND-CP Regulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of judicial support; judicial administration; marriage and family; civil judgment enforcement; recovery, bankruptcy of enterprises, cooperatives (effective from May 18, 2026), stipulates the violations of judicial appraisers as follows:
1. A fine of 3 million VND to 7 million VND shall be imposed for one of the following acts:
a) Extending the time for appraisal without a valid reason;
b) Failure to promptly and fully record the entire appraisal process in writing;
c) Failure to fully implement regulations on the preparation, storage, and preservation of appraisal records;
d) Not explaining the assessment conclusion at the request of the requester, requesting assessment without a valid reason.
Thus, from May 18, 2026, if a judicial appraiser extends the appraisal time without a valid reason, they will be fined up to 7 million VND.
