Conditions for cutting down and moving trees according to new regulations

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 1, Article 27, Decree 258/2025/ND-CP (effective from October 9, 2025) stipulates the conditions for cutting down and moving trees as follows:

a) dead or broken trees;

b) Trees at risk of causing danger;

c) Fruit trees that are likely to fall or fall and trees that produce odors that affect health and the environment;

d) Trees in areas implementing construction investment projects;

d) Trees that affect the traffic capacity of the community;

e) Trees that must be cut down according to the provisions of the law on roads, railways, electricity and other relevant legal provisions.

Thus, from October 9, 2025, the conditions for cutting down and moving trees are regulated as above.
