Which subjects will be prioritized for teacher recruitment?

Article 6 of Decree 93/2026/ND-CP detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Teachers (effective from March 31, 2026), stipulates the subjects prioritized in recruitment as follows:

1. Subjects prioritized in recruitment according to Point a, Clause 3, Article 14 of the Law on Teachers

a) Is a person who has been in charge of teaching and educating in the job position to be recruited or teaching and educating at other levels of education and training, but the subject or major of teaching is suitable for the recruited job position for 03 years (36 months) or more, and has paid compulsory social insurance according to the provisions of law (if not continuously and has not received a social insurance allowance once, it is accumulated);

b) Be added 05 points to the score results of round 2 of the exam or teacher recruitment consideration.

2. Subjects prioritized in recruitment according to Point b, Clause 3, Article 14 of the Law on Teachers

a) Being a person with a national vocational skills certificate level 4 or higher or a person with work experience in actual production, business, and services suitable to the teaching industry or profession for 03 years (36 months) or more, having compulsory social insurance contributions according to the provisions of law (if not continuously and has not received a one-time social insurance allowance, it is accumulated);

b) Be added 05 points to the score results of round 2 of the exam or teacher recruitment consideration.

3. Subjects prioritized in recruitment according to the provisions of point c, clause 3, Article 14 of the Law on Teachers and subjects entitled to preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution are implemented according to the provisions of the law on civil servants and the law on the armed forces.

4. In case the candidate taking the exam or applying for teacher recruitment belongs to many different priority subjects, the highest priority points will only be added to the results of the second round of the exam or teacher recruitment consideration.

Thus, from March 31, 2026, the above subjects will be prioritized when recruiting teachers.
