What is the responsibility of preparing to elect village heads and heads of Fatherland Front committees?

Article 6 of Decree 59/2023/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots level stipulates the preparation for the election of Village Heads and Residential Group Leaders as follows:

2. Heads of Fatherland Front working committees in villages and residential groups organize meetings of the Fatherland Front working committees in villages and residential groups to draft the list of candidates for Village Heads and Residential Group Leaders; report to the village and residential group party committees to unify the introduction of at least 01 person to run for Village Heads and Residential Group Leaders; organize meetings of the Fatherland Front working committees in villages and residential groups after receiving opinions from the village and residential group party committees to decide on the official list of candidates (at least 01 person).

The content of the meeting must be made into a record according to form No. 05 attached to this Decree and sent to the commune-level People's Committee no later than 15 days before the date of the community meeting.

Thus, the head of the Fatherland Front work committee in the village has the same responsibility as above in the preparation for the election of the Village Head.
