Vung Ang Economic Zone Enterprises find it difficult to recruit workers despite attractive salaries and benefits
In the Economic Zone (KKT) of Vung Ang, although businesses have a large demand for recruiting a large number of workers with quite high salaries, it is still difficult to recruit.
On September 19, Mr. Pham Van Tuc - General Director of Nam Ha Tinh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company (located in Vung Ang Economic Zone) - said that in the first 5 months of 2025, the company temporarily suspended operations to focus on replacing new lines of machinery and equipment.
From June 2025, the company resumed operations but lacked workers. After 3 months of recruitment, the company currently has only nearly 200 workers, while there are many export orders abroad, and a large number of workers are needed to meet the orders for partners. "We are recruiting about 200 more workers, with an average salary of 8 million - 10 million VND/month and some other benefits, but it seems very difficult to recruit" - Mr. Tuc shared.
According to Mr. Tuc, the reason for the difficulty in recruiting workers is that many enterprises in the area also recruit a large number of workers such as VinFast Automobile Factory, Garment Company, Thermal Power Plant... Meanwhile, many workers choose to go abroad to work to earn higher income.
Mr. Dang Viet Thuc - Director of Ha Tinh 10 Garment Enterprise - said that Ha Tinh 10 Garment Enterprise (located in Vung Ang Economic Zone) has been in operation for more than 4 years. Currently, the enterprise has nearly 400 employees with an average income of 8.5 million VND/person/month. In particular, those who have worked for a long time and have high labor productivity have reached an income of 13 million - 15 million VND/month.
The unit that pays health insurance, social insurance, and unemployment insurance to employees in full and in accordance with regulations and has many other benefits, including: Free car transportation for workers from far away, support for fuel for workers riding motorbikes to work; support for heat-resistant pay of VND 15,000/day/person in the summer; support for accommodation rent of VND 200,000/month; support for lunch at the Enterprise. Each year, there are about 3 - 4 additional support packages of 22% of the salary of that month such as April 30 - May 1, the occasion of children entering the new school year (September); monthly, quarterly emulation bonuses and 13th month salary...
Although the salary and benefits are quite high compared to other garment enterprises in Ha Tinh province. However, according to Mr. Dang Viet Thuc - Director of Ha Tinh Garment Enterprise 10, since the beginning of 2025, the Enterprise has posted information about recruiting 600 workers but the results are low. Currently, the unit is still lacking hundreds of workers.
According to the Director of Ha Tinh 10 Garment Enterprise, the lack of workers' housing and kindergartens is also a reason for reducing the attraction for workers.
