Launching the Club to foster knowledge, skills, and experience of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor
On the afternoon of June 4, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor launched a Club to foster knowledge, skills, and experience for the agency's staff and civil servants. Attending were comrades: Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Lai Xuan Lam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc; Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Union.
Comrade Ngo Duc Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor agencies, Chairman of the Club said that he is allowed to work in specialized groups and clubs to regularly supplement and update new knowledge and major topics of current concern to cadres and civil servants; improve and practice necessary skills for union cadres, especially the skills of consulting, reading, writing, speaking, arguing, going to the grassroots, consulting, persuading, negotiating, and dialogue... In addition, the Club is a place to share experiences, good practices, good models of trade union cadres at all levels for union cadres to study and refer to.
Speaking at the Club's launching ceremony, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Bui Van Cuong said that the Club's launch was in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on cadres and concretized the spirit of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on cadre work. He assessed the launch of the Club as a very meaningful activity of the Trade Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The agency's trade unions are increasingly innovating and participating more in the implementation of the unit's political tasks.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Bui Van Cuong emphasized that the General Confederation of Labor's Trade Union must be the Trade Union at the highest level, so it is necessary to first improve the quality of the Trade Union staff working in consulting and implementing the political tasks of the agency. The club's way of operating must be flexible and creative to be truly attractive and practical. He suggested that the Vietnam Civil Servants' Union should closely direct the activities of the Club, draw lessons to replicate the Club model to other units.
The club operates on Friday afternoons of the 1st and 3rd weeks of each month with a total time of 90 minutes/session. The honorary president of the Club is comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Union.
