Hanoi - Inspecting flooded areas in Trung Gia commune, the Prime Minister requested the city to prepare plans to evacuate people in case of emergency.

On the evening of October 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was present in Trung Gia commune (Hanoi) to inspect the flooding situation in the suburbs of Hanoi.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai accompanied the inspection team.

At the scene, the Prime Minister requested the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee to be ready to have a plan to evacuate people in case of emergency.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested Hanoi to prepare vehicles to move 30,000 people if there were incidents of dike breaches and overflows in the Cong River on the night of October 9.

In the afternoon of the same day, the water level of the Cau River at Luong Phuc station measured 9.99 m, 1.99 m higher than alert level 3. The rapid rise of water caused many roads in Trung Gia commune to be cut off, paralyzing traffic.
