Visiting and giving gifts to 24,000 union members during Tet with an amount of more than 12 billion VND

On January 23, the People's Public Security Trade Union (CAND) held a Conference to summarize the work of the Trade Union in 2025 and deploy the work program for 2026.

The conference was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security; Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the CAND Trade Union Committee and representatives of leaders of functional units under the Ministry of Public Security.

According to the report of the People's Public Security Trade Union, in 2025, the People's Public Security Trade Union will focus on concretizing the working program with the motto of action: "CAND Trade Union united, innovated, for the benefit of union members, building a truly strong Trade Union in the People's Public Security", focusing on activities to develop union members, improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities; care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members...

Regarding the work of caring for union members, the People's Public Security Trade Union regularly cares about and supports union members in difficult circumstances; union members affected by natural disasters, floods; union members with serious illnesses.

Organizing the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", more than 24,000 union members were visited and given Tet gifts with a total amount of more than 12 billion VND...; the social security program "Spring Utile Border - Love and Love Festival 2025" examined and provided free medicine to nearly 1,000 people, worth nearly 200 million VND; maintained the "Union adopted children" program, received care and support for 417 children with a total amount of nearly 1.1 billion VND.

Regarding organizing emulation movements among union members, the People's Public Security Union has honored nearly 50 "good workers" on the occasion of the Workers' Month in 2025; launched and effectively implemented emulation activities such as "Good workers, creative workers associated with implementing the emulation movement for national security", focusing on widely implementing the emulation movement "The third: Most disciplined - Most humane - Most proactive".

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Van Quyet - Chairman of the Trade Union of 19.5 Company emphasized the exercise of the function of the trade union organization in representing and protecting the rights and interests of workers; especially improving negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements. Mr. Quyet said: "The Trade Union of 19.5 Company will continue to innovate and improve the quality of activities, accompany workers and businesses, and actively contribute to the common development of the H08 Department Trade Union and the People's Public Security Trade Union".

Mr. Tran Xuan Lich - Chairman of the Political Affairs Department Trade Union proposed a number of solutions to build a standard cultural value system for cadres and union members of the People's Public Security Trade Union: Innovating the form of political and ideological education, launching the movement "Each union member has a digital initiative", strengthening the supervisory role of the trade union organization in implementing democratic regulations.

At the Conference, the signing ceremony of the emulation agreement to implement the emulation movement "three first" and "three innovations" in 2026 took place; the People's Public Security Trade Union also set out 15 key tasks, identifying 3 breakthroughs.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor acknowledged and praised the outstanding efforts and results that the People's Public Security Trade Union has achieved in 2025.

Regarding the tasks for 2026, Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Xuan directed: "I request that comrades do a good job of propaganda, participate in activities to celebrate major holidays associated with emulation movements; promote innovation, digital transformation in trade union activities; focus on implementing well the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of workers and clearly promoting the role of the People's Public Security Trade Union in the activities of the Central Industry Trade Union Emulation Bloc".

At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Emulation Flags to 2 collectives, Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 20 individuals; the People's Public Security Trade Union awarded Emulation Flags to 6 collectives, and Certificates of Merit to 16 collectives and 172 individuals.
