LD26017 - Difficult circumstances when husband dies of cancer, female worker struggles to raise 3 young children

After a long time of struggling with the disease, Mai Thi Duyen's husband (born in 1991, in Dai Lai village, Lien Minh commune, Ninh Binh province) - Mai Van T - suffered from terminal cancer and passed away. Mr. T's passing left a great deal of pain for the family and the burden of making a living fell on the young wife's shoulders. Since her husband became ill and passed away, Ms. Duyen's family has fallen into many difficult circumstances, when all expenses and raising children depend on her alone.

Previously, cancer took away the labor of Mr. T - the main breadwinner in the family. Ms. Duyen and her husband's entire small income was also spent on medicine and hospital fees, causing the economy to increasingly exhausted. The day he passed away, the mental pain had not yet subsided, but the pressure of life was clearly present before the young wife's eyes.

Sharing with us, Ms. Duyen choked up as she said: "Before giving birth to our third child, to give our children a more decent place to live, my husband and I discussed borrowing to rebuild the house. However, my husband discovered he had cancer before he could finish the house and paint it. After a period of treatment, my husband passed away, so the house is still unfinished."

Currently, to have funds to raise her children, Ms. Duyen continues to work at a company in Bao Minh Industrial Park. Because my children are still young, I only work during office hours and do not work overtime, so my salary is not enough to cover the monthly expenses for the 4 mothers and children and save to pay off debts.

Ms. Duyen's husband is the main pillar but unfortunately died of a serious illness early and had many children, so he really needs the cooperation and sharing of the community to help the family overcome this difficult period.
