Lao Cai mobilizes the establishment of grassroots trade unions in industrial parks

On August 17, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation informed that the Trade Union of Industrial Parks had just worked with the Board of Directors and employees of Ha Son Import-Export Co., Ltd., belonging to the Northern Economic Zone of Lao Cai province to mobilize the establishment of a trade union organization.

Ha Son Import-Export Co., Ltd. currently has 90 employees, mainly operating in the fields of services, trade and wholesale of food.

At the working session, trade union officials propagated about the position, role, and function of the Trade Union organization; and at the same time informed about the rights and practical benefits of workers when participating in the trade union organization.

Through propaganda, employees and the Company's Board of Directors agreed with the policy of establishing grassroots trade unions. This is an important basis for employees to have more representative organizations to protect their legitimate and lawful rights and interests in labor relations.

Based on the consensus of businesses and employees, the Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks has guided employees to complete dossiers and procedures for establishing grassroots trade unions according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

It is expected that the dossier will be completed and submitted to the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation for consideration and decision on establishment and organization of the launching ceremony at the end of August 2026.
