National Assembly candidates listen to petitions from voters in mountainous Da Nang

On the morning of March 7, candidates for National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term, constituency No. 5, had a meeting with voters in the mountainous area of Tra My, Da Nang City within the framework of the election campaign program.

Constituent unit No. 5 has 5 candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term (voters elect 3 deputies) including:

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor;

Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Member of the Party Committee Executive Committee, Member of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the Delegate Affairs Committee, Director of the Department of Delegate Affairs (National Assembly Delegate Affairs Committee);

Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City;

Ms. Ho Thi Hiet - teacher of Tra Nam Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School;

Ms. Dinh Thi Mia - teacher of Vo Nguyen Giap Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School.

This is an opportunity for voters to directly meet, listen to the action program of candidates, and at the same time express their thoughts, aspirations and concerns in the process of socio-economic development in the locality. Thereby, helping voters have more information to consider and choose people with enough heart and stature to represent the voice of the people at the National Assembly.

At the conference, candidates presented action programs focusing on issues of concern to voters such as mountainous economic development, improving transport infrastructure, improving the quality of education, health and ensuring social security.

Local voters expressed their desire that National Assembly deputies, when elected, will pay more attention to the lives of people in mountainous areas, have mechanisms to support production development, consumption of agricultural products and preservation of traditional cultural values. Some opinions also proposed to increase infrastructure investment, creating conditions for mountainous people to better access essential services.

Representing the candidates, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor thanked the voters for their frank and responsible opinions.

At the same time, affirming that if trusted by voters, they will perform well their role as elected representatives, maintain close contact with the people, regularly listen, summarize, and promptly reflect voters' opinions to the National Assembly, Government and functional agencies, contributing to perfecting policies and promoting sustainable development in mountainous areas.
