From small flowers, sowing knowledge in the highlands
The "Literary" group from "blossom "blossom" chose to sell and "sell" the "fresh" flower to raise funds to build a house of knowledge for students in the highlands.
Flowers for yourself and books for me
The idea of raising funds from fresh flowers has been implemented by the "Libury from Flowers" group for many years, attracting the attention of the capital community.
Instead of calling for support for the familiar "gold" method, the group chose to sell" flowers and organize "flower decoration events on special occasions to raise funds for the library", bringing books to "high-altitude" schools.
The 'Libletery' was established on June 1, 2023, with 20 members participating. The group maintains fundraising activities by selling flowers every day. For book donations, the group only receives reference books and stories.
Sharing with reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Head of the group - said that profits from sales, event organization or other revenue from benefactors are all used to buy books, buy bookcases and transport them to schools.
''The members of the group almost did not take any credit. We still tell each other to try to make a profit so that students in many disadvantaged areas have more libraries,' said Ms. Hien.

According to Ms. Hien, the initiation of the 'Literature' comes from the desire to spread good and positive things in the community.
"We believe that each person does not need to do too big things, just spreading good things in their own way is very precious," Ms. Hien shared.
For Ms. Hien, a library for children in disadvantaged areas is not simply a place to store books, but a "trip ticket" opening up new horizons.
In remote villages or coastal fishing villages, children's sight is often only limited to mountains, forests, corn fields, and stream banks. A suitable book does not need to be too academic, just need a lot of beautiful images and stories to help children see a wider world, said Ms. Hien.
Business associated with charity
According to Ms. Hien, the biggest challenge for the group is the resource problem: We have to learn how to operate as a small enterprise with input, output, balancing costs, time and personnel. Members are all equal, each person has his own job, so we have to arrange our time and use our strengths to contribute.
Sometimes selling flowers is difficult, there is not much money, everyone worries about being "the way to bring love to the people". However, customer trust is the reason for the group to continue operating.

As one of the members directly involved in selling flowers, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Uyen (25 years old) said that she came to the ''Literary' because she loves flowers and volunteers.
When I knew the project could combine both of my favorite things, I was ready to participate. For me, selling flowers to raise funds is not a big deal, just a little effort to help children in the highlands have more books to read and learn, Ms. Uyen shared.
As for Ms. Do Thi Sen (21 years old), the project impressed with humane messages such as "Flowers for yourself - Books for you".
Ms. Sen has directly participated in giving books at schools and could not hide her emotions when seeing the children cherish each new book.

Books for children are not just for reading, but for friends to open up another world. That makes me more convinced that small things can still create big changes, said Ms. Sen.
