Returning money to a resident in Hanoi who mistakenly transferred money
Quang Tri - Tan Lap Commune Police coordinated with people to return 25 million VND transferred by mistake from a person in Hanoi.
On February 4, Tan Lap Commune Police (Quang Tri province) said that the unit had just coordinated to carry out procedures to return 25 million VND to people who mistakenly transferred to their accounts.
Previously, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang (resident of Tan Tai village, Tan Lap commune) proactively went to the commune police headquarters to report that her personal account suddenly received 25 million VND from a stranger. With honesty, Ms. Hang requested functional agencies to support verification to return the money to the wrongly transferred person.
Through review, the commune police determined that the above amount belonged to Mr. Nguyen Minh Huan (residing in Thuan An commune, Hanoi). Due to negligence in the transaction process, Mr. Huan mistakenly transferred this amount of money, which was known to be used to pay a cost for his family.
Under the guidance of the Police force, Ms. Hang fully returned 25 million VND to Mr. Huan in accordance with legal regulations. Immediately after receiving the money back, Mr. Huan sent a letter expressing his gratitude to Ms. Hang and the Tan Lap Commune Police force.
Tan Lap Commune Police assessed Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang's action as a noble gesture, showing honesty and civic responsibility, which needs to be praised and spread in the community.
