Visiting and giving Tet gifts to more than 16,600 poor and difficult households in Lam Dong
Lam Dong - On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts to more than 16,600 poor and near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances.
On January 31, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province informed that the unit had just issued a plan to visit and give gifts to people on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the plan, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province established working groups for leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to participate in visiting and giving Tet gifts to people in the area.
On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province will give gifts to more than 16,600 households, with a total budget of more than 47.5 billion VND.
Supported subjects include: Poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution and households heavily affected by floods.
In addition, the unit spent more than 500 million VND to give 1,050 Tet gifts to members in difficult circumstances and poor students.
The funding for gifts is taken from the Fund for the Poor of Lam Dong province, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee and the Lam Dong Provincial Relief Fund.
In parallel with that, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society to present more than 800 Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households, worth 700,000 VND each.
Mr. Bon Yô Soan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, said that the visit and gift-giving time is expected to take place from January 26 to February 10 in communes, wards and special zones in the province.
Visiting and giving gifts during Tet aims to promote the tradition of mutual affection and love of the nation, and at the same time show the concern and care of the political system for all classes of people, especially the poor and people in particularly difficult circumstances when Tet comes and Spring returns.
According to Mr. Bon Yô Soan, these practical activities contribute to helping every household and every person in Lam Dong province have conditions to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.
