Military Region 5 hands over 610 houses in Quang Trung Campaign
Military Region 5 has completed and handed over 610/610 houses, ending the "Quang Trung Campaign" in building houses under the Army.
On the morning of January 10, in Hoa Hiep ward, Dak Lak province, Military Region 5 coordinated with the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to organize an inauguration ceremony and hand over 229 houses to households whose houses were completely collapsed due to natural disasters.
Major General Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Commander of Military Region 5 attended and spoke at the ceremony.
According to Military Region 5, the house construction process took place in urgent conditions and unfavorable weather.
However, with a high sense of responsibility and close coordination between the military forces and local authorities, thousands of working days have been mobilized. At times, the units organize construction all night to ensure progress.
The houses are solidly built, with flood guards, meeting safety requirements during the storm season, contributing to helping people stabilize their long-term lives in areas frequently affected by natural disasters.
Receiving the house handover this time, Ms. Truong Thi Thieu emotionally shared: "Having a new house before Tet is something I have never dared to think about. Thanks to the attention of the soldiers of Military Region 5 and authorities at all levels, my family has a solid home like today".
Not only building new ones, Military Region 5 also organized the repair and repair of 314 damaged houses in the area, completing ahead of schedule compared to the time assigned by the Prime Minister.
On this occasion, Military Region 5 and local authorities also presented many meaningful gifts, encouraging families to soon stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind and produce.
Major General Tran Thanh Hai emphasized that the construction and handover of houses to households affected by natural disasters is an activity to concretize the policy of the Party and State in accelerating the implementation of the "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by the Prime Minister. This is not only an activity of profound humanitarian significance but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and military-civilian affection; affirming the good nature of the Vietnam People's Army.
Also on the morning of January 10, the Military Region 5 Command in coordination with the People's Committees of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai provinces, Da Nang city and the units of the Ministry of National Defense standing in the area officially handed over the second phase with 435 houses to households in the Military Region.
Thus, after 2 deployment phases, Military Region 5 has completed and handed over 610/610 houses, ending the "Quang Trung Campaign" in building houses under the responsibility of the Army, contributing to helping people in disaster areas to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 warmly, safely, and warmly.
