Tet gifts were given to 500 poor households in Tra On commune
Vinh Long - Tra On commune presents 500 Tet gifts of Binh Ngo 2026 to poor and disadvantaged households, contributing to social security care.
On February 6th, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra On commune coordinated with philanthropists to organize Tet gifts for poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the commune.
At the program, 500 Tet gifts were given to households in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 400,000 VND, including cash and 5 kg of rice, with a total budget of 200 million VND sponsored by the Tu Van Monastery Charity Fund (Ho Chi Minh City).
The activity shows the spirit of mutual love and affection, the sharing of organizations and individuals with people in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping families have more conditions to prepare to welcome the traditional Tet in a warm atmosphere.
Ms. Tam Hoa said that her family is in difficult circumstances, with income mainly from freelance labor, so life is still very lacking, especially during Tet. "Receiving Tet gifts including rice and cash, my family is less worried. This is very timely support for us to prepare for Tet," Ms. Hoa shared.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of Tra On Commune People's Committee - respectfully thanked Tuong Van Monastery Charity Fund for many years of accompanying the locality in caring for people's lives.
According to Tra On Commune People's Committee, so far the locality has mobilized and connected to give more than 2,000 Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances, with a value of each gift from 300,000 to 500,000 VND.
