Promoting the strength of great solidarity, making Da Nang a world-class Asian place to live

On the morning of December 3, the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Da Nang City, term 2025 - 2030, officially opened. Attending and directing the Congress were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee and 347 delegates.

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized that this is an event of special significance in the context of the city entering a period of synchronous implementation of the major policies of the Central Government on building a streamlined, effective and efficient organizational apparatus, especially the arrangement of socio-political organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, warmly commended and acknowledged the outstanding achievements that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of the city has achieved in recent times.

The strength of people's solidarity has contributed significantly to impressive socio-economic results: GRDP growth in the first 9 months of the year reached 9.83%, total state budget revenue increased by 25.6% over the same period.

In particular, over the past year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has conducted nearly 2,000 legal dissemination sessions; 608 thematic supervisions; 278 social criticism conferences; built and repaired 900 Great Unity houses; mobilized a disaster relief fund of up to 257 billion VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha also suggested three key issues for the Congress to discuss. Firstly, the Front needs to proactively participate in solving major problems of the city, creating a solid foundation of social consensus in planning, site clearance, implementing motivational projects, and maintaining political and social stability.

Second, we must thoroughly grasp the viewpoint of "people are the root" and "people are the center". The strength of the Front lies in the city's more than 3 million people. All activities must be aimed at the people, listen to and thoroughly resolve legitimate aspirations, promote the people's mastery through forums such as "People's Forum" and "People's listen to Speak".

Third, the Front must strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, shifting from a formal movement to a practical result.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha emphasized the application of the formula "three easy, three clear, three measurements" (easy to understand, easy to remember, easy to do; clear goals, clear responsibilities, clear deadlines; measuring input, measuring output, measuring impact) under the direction of General Secretary To Lam. Front cadres must implement "3 nearly" (near people, near the grassroots, near the digital space), "5 must" (must listen, dialogue, take the lead, take responsibility, report the results) and "4 no" (no formality, avoidance, pushing, doing wrong functions).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha expressed her belief that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City will continue to be the core of the gathering of will and aspirations, together with the Party Committee, government and people to overcome challenges, excellently complete tasks, contributing to building Da Nang into an ecological, smart, livable, classy city in Asia...
