Mr. Vo Minh Trieu becomes Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long ward

On September 25, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Thoi Long Ward held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Ward, term 2025 - 2030, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development".

Over the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has well implemented the Resolution of the Congress and closely followed the political tasks in the locality, promoting its core role. With many appropriate contents and forms, the Ward Front has disseminated and disseminated 5,660 meetings, with 198.112 people accessing information.

The work of social supervision and criticism, contributing to giving opinions on Party building and government building is increasingly expanding, creating high consensus in society. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has mobilized people to contribute efforts and money to expand, upgrade, repair, build new bridges and roads, install solar lighting, security cameras... with a total amount of over 3.5 billion VND.

The whole ward has 22/22 cultural areas. Every year, the ward has over 98% of households recognized as cultural families with many typical collectives and individuals being commended and rewarded by all levels. The work of organizing cadres has been focused on consolidating and perfecting; regularly organizing training and fostering to improve professional qualifications and skills for Front cadres to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and praised the good and creative ways of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long Ward for contributing to the impressive results in the past term.

To continue to strengthen and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc in the ward, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long ward continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of closely following the people, focusing on the grassroots; focus on effectively implementing campaigns and emulation movements launched by the Front, with the motto "Form of concentration, practical content; drastic and practical action"; effectively launch the peak month "For the Poor", creating conditions for organizations and individuals to participate in supporting the fund, with great spread;...

The Congress agreed on 3 breakthroughs and 6 action programs for the new term; and consulted to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long Ward for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 60 members.

At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward unanimously elected the Standing Committee and the positions of chairman and vice chairman. Mr. Vo Minh Trieu holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long Ward, term 2025 - 2030.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City directly awarded 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the ward, each worth 1 million VND.
