Mr. Pham Duong holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi An Dong ward

On September 13, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Thoi An Dong ward held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward, term 2025 - 2030.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Development", the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thoi An Dong Ward is tasked with summarizing and evaluating the situation and results of implementing the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Ward from the beginning of the 2024-2029 term to date; setting out directions, goals, tasks, solutions and action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Ward for the 2025-2030 term.

During the past term, the work of building and consolidating the great national unity bloc in the ward has achieved many important results, contributing to creating social consensus, promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security and enhancing the role of the Front in the political system.

The Ward Fatherland Front coordinates with the Ward People's Committee and member organizations to promote the spirit of solidarity, support poor households and disadvantaged households through many practical solutions such as loans for developing household economy, vocational training associated with employment, monthly rice support for near-poor households. At the same time, the "For the Poor" Fund was mobilized with more than 141 million VND and 13 Great Unity houses worth 612 million VND were built and repaired. Thanks to that, the rate of poor and near-poor households in the area has decreased every year.

The Ward Fatherland Front also promoted the role of representing and protecting the rights of the people, organizing social supervision and criticism, participating in building the Party and government, strengthening the people's trust; Coordinating with the People's Committee to launch the movement "All people build a cultural life".

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Van Chinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City - acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi An Dong Ward.

To continue to consolidate, strengthen and promote the strength of the Great Unity of the entire people in the ward, Mr. Tran Van Chinh suggested that the Congress fully absorb the opinions given by the city, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the opinions given by the delegates, promptly concretize them into programs, plans and implement them to achieve the highest results.

At the same time, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City also emphasized and suggested a number of issues on continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation; Focus on implementing campaigns and emulation movements; Organize effective launching of the peak month "For the poor";.... at the Congress.

The Congress agreed on 4 key tasks and 2 breakthroughs for the new term; consulted to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi An Dong Ward for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 56 members. At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward unanimously elected the Standing Committee and the positions of chairman and vice chairman. Mr. Pham Duong holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi An Dong Ward, term 2025 - 2030.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City directly awarded 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the ward, each worth 1 million VND.
