Can Tho - Mr. Do Trung Nam was elected by democratic parties as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Huu commune for the 2025 - 2030 term.
On September 12, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Phu Huu commune held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune for the 2025-2030 term.
During the past term, the Phu Huu Commune Front system has organized the implementation of the Resolution and action programs with many positive results. The content and methods of operation have many innovations, become increasingly specific and practical; attract a large number of people to participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the completion of socio-economic development targets, maintaining national defense and security, building communes that meet new rural standards.
Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" launched by the Prime Minister, since the beginning of the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has coordinated to mobilize over 5 billion VND from social security programs, mobilizing the "For the Poor" fund of 500 million VND.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has effectively integrated and implemented campaigns and patriotic emulation movements with building the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" has truly spread to the lives of all classes of people, developing breadth and depth, bringing practical results, attracting a large number of people to participate.
Every year, 100% of hamlets achieve the title of area, cultural hamlet; over 98% of families achieve the title of "Cultural Family".

The Congress voted to agree on 5 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs for the new term; unanimously elected 69 comrades to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune. On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City awarded 40 scholarships to poor students and students who have overcome difficulties to study well in the commune, each worth 1 million VND.
