Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province

On the afternoon of September 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province held a second conference for the 2024 - 2029 term to discuss the election of committee members and the position of Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

The conference consulted to elect Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang congratulated the new Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, expressing his confidence that Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, with his courage, experience and high sense of responsibility, will promote the tradition of solidarity and increasingly strong leadership of the Front.

Speaking on receiving the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang affirmed that he will inherit and promote the tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, together with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, to strengthen the great national unity bloc, improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements, participate in building a clean and strong Party and government.

Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang (born in 1976, from Quang Tri province), has a university degree in Civil and Industrial Construction, and a Senior degree in Political Theory.

He has held the following positions: Chairman of Dong Ha City People's Committee, Secretary of Dong Ha City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Council (old). After the merger of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, he holds the position of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
